This is the Spruce Fir Moss Spider - He's the worlds smallest tarantula and is only found in temperate climates above 5,000 feet elevation. They have only been recorded at Grandfather Mountain, Mount Mitchell, and Roan Mountain State Parks.

Wife has returned from work with some questions for me. Does it matter where the tarantula is from? Was Rousseau working from a statistically significant sample size? Has this study been peer reviewed? And was Rousseau drunk? All valid questions.
How am I just discovering that Rousseau though tarantula bites can be cured by singing a familiar song to someone in their own language. Not some foreign language mind you: 'Italian tunes are needed for Italians; for Turks, Turkish tunes. Each is affected only by accents familiar to him.' Bonkers.
