To boost #PubLib use in remote districts, municipal libraries introduced “motor book cars” in the 1920s - like this one, which was used to transport books to readers in Perthshire, Scotland.

I knew I had this photo of the Palace Square in St Petersburg somewhere, but took me ages to find it.
Was extraordinary to stand in the square and imagine the storming of the Winter Palace in 1917.
