There’s a way to connect the ship of Theseus to the amazing consistency with which backup QBs kick the shit out of the Hogs, but I’m too dumb to make it

If we take turnovers out of the Arkansas football equation, do we have a ship of Theseus situation or no

Describe a character in Greek mythology the way someone trying to defend a politician would.

Theseus: We need to stop with all these purity tests if we ever hope to win back power. You think any of the cretins we're up against care if their ship is still the same ship?
Cronus: oh so you're never hungry? You never eat?
Describe a character in Greek mythology the way someone trying to defend a politician would. I’ll start.

Oedipus: Like you’ve never had sex with someone and regretted it later

What if we rebuilt the ship of Theseus with cardboard and spackle?
Today's vexing New England question: Is it still a Fluffernutter if you use raisin bread, or swap butter in for the peanut butter?

It's a length of thread. The saying refers to Theseus using a clue of thread to find his way back out of the labyrinth, but as less and less people are their own stuff, that meaning fell out of use. It's still around in knitting circles and such though.

I’ve got what I’m calling a Candle of Theseus where (for now at least) I’m keeping the same vessel but adding new wax and re-wicking as I go, and it’s a lot of fun actually! Time to top it up today, I think. 🤘

I’d like to build a film about Theseus from clips of Frankenstein movies.

Theseus: I could not in good conscience endanger my crew's lives just to change a sail's color. Sometimes a leader has to make tough decisions.

That engine aged like milk, but it was undeniably Halo. This feels like gaming's latest Ship of Theseus.
Yeah that Halo doesn't look very much like Halo

I think the frame is the bike. If you replace everything but the frame, it is still the same bike. If you replace the frame but keep everything else, it is a different bike. I didn’t know I thought this, until I read the Bike of Theseus question in #bikenite

They are not replacing the ship. They are building something completely different, and incredibly ugly. No need to bring Theseus into it.
