I know technically it's not Wednesday yet, but I kinda hope to post it this week, so here, take this WIP from chapter 7 of 'Stealing Time'.
Is anyone in for a bit of cuddles on the sofa? Because this is exactly the vibe I'm longing for physically, considering everything happening rn 🥺
Alamein is on the sofa next to him, all fidgeting, letting out frustrated huffs into his cup of tea and moving closer, closer with each second, cutting the already insignificant distance between them. He spills hot tea all over his lap at the next fidget and hisses between his teeth. Madigan’s hand twitches to get the paper napkin for him, but he doesn’t move, watching Alamein squirming with growing amusement. “Oh, fuck this,” Alamein finally gives in and puts his cup aside, a tiny frown of determination Madigan adores creasing his brows. And then he… Huh. Alamein puts his knees up on Madigan’s lap in one long, fluid motion, and that is… Well, that is… Madigan suddenly finds himself with a lapful of jeans-clad, long, and warm legs, and his hands hover only for a fraction of a second before going down, his own cup pressed between them. Having him so close so suddenly sends a sweet frisson down his spine, his skin tingly with goose bumps. Madigan takes a sip of his tea to swallow the feeling down, but it only goes up. Ophelia, sleeping on the sofa cushion above Madigan’s shoulder on her usual spot, lifts her head with a short, melodious trill, her eyes immediately huge and wary, tail twitching. Madigan watches Alamein whisper to her, “Sorry, love,” and his heart immediately grows three sizes in his chest, making breathing sort of difficult.

I don't want to delve too deeply into the details, but the gist of it is this: Gordon and Christine Bowker spent four years monitoring some black grouse in Wales, concluding eventually that the birds were in danger. Some scientists from the RSPB said that actually, it may have been the couple themselves putting the birds in danger. Now they're all heading for the High Court - except for the black grouse, that is. For non-birdwatchers, this makes little sense. If the Bowkers cared enough about the birds to spend four years watching them, why would they want to harm them? And why do these people care so much about birds anyway? My father is a birdwatcher, which may explain why, until January 2005, I was not. It's an easy hobby to shun, spurn or sneer at, especially when you're a teenager. But with fatherhood on the horizon, I decided to give it a go. To ensure it was a fair trial, challenged my dad to a race: who could see the most species in one year? That way, I was committed for at least 12 months. The first lesson was that the term "birdwatcher" has many shades. My dad, for example, volunteers at his local bird reserve and willingly carries out bird surveys, but that's apathetic compared to some. The extremists of the birdwatching world are the "twitchers" - the fanatical collectors, the men and women prepared to pay any price to get a new bird on their list. This week, this particular species was the subject of a BBC documentary, twitchers: A Very British Obsession, which chronicled the extraordinary journeys made to spot, or miss, a new bird. Watching twitchers twitching was gripping stuff (and well worth catching on the BBC iPlayer). But the film also highlighted a less obvious side of the pursuit: the crucial role played by reputation. Despite advances in photography, spotting birds is a hobby based on trust. If someone says they've seen a particular species, one has to believe them. If evidence is produced to prove the claimant mistaken, innocently or otherwise. their reputation is ruined. A mistrusted birder can find themselves estranged from an already marginalised community I was especially intrigued by the documentary because, of all the possible birdwatching styles. twitching was the one to which I gravitated most readily. While my dad loves the birds themselves, and could happily spend an afternoon staring at a pigeon, I liked the competition. On one occasion, I drove for five hours to see a long-billed murrelet, only for the lost Japanese bird to flee minutes before my arrival. I didn't mind: I enjoyed the chase. Twitchers are often accused of not caring about the welfare of the birds they pursue, and I accept that I was more interested in the numbers than the individuals. In fact, disappointment was as crucial a part of the process as nil-nil draws are in football. I'd heard about the bird via a website called Birdline (a vidiprinter for rare sightings), weighed up the cost and decided that the journey was worth it. A flock of twitchers sprang into similar action this week, when word spread online that an American kestrel was lurking in Suffolk. This time, the bird obligingly hung around, but it wasn't long before someone noticed a ring round its leg: it had escaped from the Suffolk Ow Sanctuary, so it wouldn't count on any lists. Five years on, and I've lost the itch to twitch. Instead, I am now a proud casual birdwatcher. I may not wear binoculars at all times, but I automatically tune in to birdsong, and still get excited by the sight of a goldfinch. All hobbies are irrational to some extent. Heard a few days ago Dominion sold itself to a pro-MAGA company and settled all their lawsuits. I'm afraid to even research to hear /verify the full story because the thought of Guliani, Lindell and others getting any kind of "win" makes my face turn red, and my eye starts twitching.

I am currently regretting freezing my key, think I inflamed an injury to my ball I thought I had recovered from and I can't get it off to let them free. They felt really warm earlier, so I used an ice pack. Now they feel fine temperature wise, but they keep twitching in the scrotum. Kinda red 1/?

When out of the blue Michael close in towards Guy's face, which the latter was surprised and backed away. They fall into a kiss in a dark connected silhouette. Their lips parted with saliva connect erotically at their lips. Michael licked his lips and say," I see. It's truly sweet" while teases Guy with the Pocky stick in his other hand. Guy blushed so red, pants with his beating hearts pounding loud, thinking internally" Fucking Bastard!!" "caught me off guard just like that...." A small panel of chibi Guy pouting frustrated and Michael's indifferent face as he look up at the dialog box saying "Round 2?"
