That was really fun! I had a blast playing it. Definitely feels like a good start

I could live without the Undertale2 baiting tho. I know that was the point but man it just makes me think "Okay buddy lol"

As much as I love Deltarune, and like I genuinely do,

I can't help but feel like it's development cycle has kind of messed up how we're consuming this story and its elements

That sounds really pretentious but you get what I'm tryna say right?
Stuff like the eggs, the Roaring Knight being beatable, Dess Knight (argue with a wall), snowgrave, recruits affecting the plot, etc Things you were supposed to just discover on your own in one playthrough or word of mouth The whimsy and discovery is still there, just diluted Yknow? Like imagine this: You are a Deltarune fan playing the game for the first time You're playing the game, you end chapter1 with 3 things in mind: >You and Kris are different people >Kris is evil?!?!? >Your choices dont matter You've tried everything you could but nothing affects the plot. So you play the game normally with this in mind (I mean this is Undertale2 right? I guess Tobyfox didn't want to be hekd back by the choices thing. That's fair) You play through chapter2 normally (maybe do a Lil trolling with Noelle). You're having fun Then you get to chapter3, you S-rank the room and you play the NES segment "The forbidden path began with ice magic? What does that mean?" "That girl kinda looks like Noelle actually. Hey I wonder if..." So you reload a new save, play chapter2, freeze some enemies and **boom** You just started the Snowgrave route.

Honestly if you wanna know why the Snowgrave rose thing irritates me so much it's because of this

It's not cuz I'm edgy and want needlessly bad things to happen to the characters I like; it's an artistic thing for me
The latest version of the scene is a good compromise that I like but Jesus this fandom irritates me Just the way they infantalize this series and its creator bothers the hell outta me I'm seeing a creator do something new for once, actually stick the landing, but having to backtrack cuz his fanbase is just too juvenile Worst part is when niggas would be like "Oh it doesn't fit the writing of Deltarune/it isn't that kind of series" 1. Undertale #lmao It has so much suicide stuff in it it's kinda crazy 2. It's an allegory > it doesn't mean it literally happened That's The Whole Point of an allegory He didn't even deconfirm that reading. He just changed it because niggas were too stupid and read it as it LITERALLY happening You just think otherwise because you infantalize Tobyfox despite him being a grown ass man with Penumbras and Phantasms 3. GOD FORBID a writer actually tries anything new with their work I guess we should all just write the same 5 stories with the same 5 character archtypes/tropes and same 5 plots until the day we DIE Tobyfox shoulda just made Undertale2 with the same scrimblo bimbos man it woulda sold like hotcakes lol
