I was t-boned when someone ran a red light. Broke my wrist and missed 3 months of work. Their insurance (progressive) offered me $1400 to settle, even after I itemized lost wages+transportation cost to $12K. Had to lawyer up. Insurance effing sucks. I'll give it up to USAA tho, they are fabulous

After a hailstorm last year; I had to have my roof repaired. The cost was over $20,000.00. While I was talking with my contractor, two of my neighbors came over to say State Farm refused to cover their loss. This company broke faith with their customers. Go with USAA if you are a vet.

#USAA is a military bank for military members or immediate family members of those who have served who can then invite their family members, etc.
Anyway, they have done this every government shutdown. They are a great company owned by their members.

Can’t speak to Grace’s situation, but USAA has an app that runs in the background on your phone. It tracks whenever you touch your phone while going above ~15mph. If you decline the app, your premiums are based on an older, more expensive formula.
