I attended No Kings protests today in suburban Solon and urban Cleveland, Ohio. Both were very well attended, affirming and joyful. I have two observations: more people attended today than in June, and young people joined today, unlike in June. We will overcome the Republican malignancy.

It was hope that brought them here. Hope for a better life. A life without tyranny. A life without oppression. A life where their home was safe, where their family was safe, where their community was safe. That hope is still here. It was in the rural areas, along with the urban.

Yes. Now add messaging to form kinship w/ rural folks being squeezed. LOT of common ground in abuses inflicted upon both urban & rural. It's only divisive propaganda gen'd by wealthy elitists who own & host FoxNews that keeps us divided. Hold out your hands to bridge the divide for common cause.

These little parks Toronto has University, between 4 lains of traffic have got to be some of the worst urban design in the city.

Who wants to go to a park with cars powering down either side of you going at 50KPH?

Just awful.

"David, I'm going to stay on this poo-bombing. Because it seems like it's saying that urban America is to be quite literally made unlivable. Why would that be a central response to protest? David, how does that advance conservative ideals?"

Picked up some cheap lights and attached them to the cargo bike. I'll let you know how they hold up over the season. I'm also going to try to get down to MEC to grab some spoke lights. #yycbike

🇰🇿 Kazakhstan- Sergei Lukyanenko, Night Watch

I have to admit that urban fantasy isn't exactly my genre, but when someone gets all the pieces of it just right, damn does it hit the exact spot you always are looking for as a reader. Will definitely be checking out the rest of the series.

There’s a huge split in the Greens and the NIMBY rural ones are only Green in the sense that they want to preserve their villages and block development. The urban Greens are more concerned with coming out of NATO and getting rid of our nuclear weapons.

I read that book definitely a great sequel to the first book and I can't wait to read the third volume and see how gross and horrifying it can be, I also have a feeling that the new monsters maybe be slashers, as the first had folk/urban legends, second have aliens them, so slashers feels next.

At the hospital all day, but took a small break to walk outside and join some lovely people on a short urban hike. Shouting at certain frozen sundries to fuck off can be quite cathartic.

It may be time for large urban areas to break up their police forces into separate entities. Possibly one for each city council district.
During a crises they could work together, but the rest of the time they would be completely separate entities.
They need to remember how to serve, not fear.

I'm loving it! Combat is a completely different beast from traditional Pokemon. My only gripe is there's not a lot of exploration outside of urban environments but honestly it's such a nitpick. It's fun.
