#VirtualGameCard: Interesting... in theory, but I'm not exactly too keen on the "you can only lend for a set number of days" aspect, like I get they probably don't want people just passing digital purchases around but I think there should be a bit more flexibility.

So the new "Virtual Game Cards" is live, & here I'm testing it with my daughter. The license (for games & even DLC!) will quickly be transfered over as you can see, but they still have to download the content from online. #switch #virtualgamecard #gaming

Nintendo's Virtual Game Card feature is very enticing. Especially as I'll be moving in with my nephew one day. He is VERY of the digital age and does not like to take out Switch game cards properly. An all-digital Switch 2 would be perfect for him. #virtualgamecard

So they announced a successor today to physical media (and a sort of library card between consoles). Virtual Game Card. I'm sure this will be implemented in other ways down the road. To replace discs and carts without ownership worries. #VirtualGameCard #NintendoDirect #NintendoSwitch

THE #virtualgamecard feature learnt in the #Nintendodirect was confusing.
However it seems that instead of being able to download your games on 2 Switches, you will only be able to have it on one Switch at a time?
Only plus side is if you have people on a family account you can lend games? Hmm

PSA: Virtual Game Cards are replacing the previous Primary/Secondary Console setup. Two systems with your account can play your games, plus an additional system that acts like a Secondary system if you use Online License
