Quite interested in the book on the left. Zero interest in the right. I thought I’d try cold Leviathan by Bendis and Maleev and then Absolute Power by Waid and Mora. Both totally undermined by needing so read a load of other stuff. Won’t get fooled again (probably)

I'm seeing a lot of fans moaning that their favourite story got left out, which seems absurd to me, 'cos...
A. There is no way that Waid could have referenced every single DC story wver written.
B. You shouldn't need an official "canon" stamp from DC for your favourite stories to "matter."

Continues to be one of the best comics I've ever read. The beautiful art by Mora adapting to varying situations Waid will write for, pulling from all sorts of DC History to give the story true depth.
