Friday I needed some low stakes painting so cleaned up the base coats on the space bug and space marine.

Now I'm overthinking on "what thoughts run through their little heads?" I'm honestly more scared by what's likely in the marine's head.

Termagant model with wraithbone (warm off-white) base coat on head, body, arms, legs, and blaster thingy. This time the coverage is better than last time. Other areas show gray primer. Infernus marine model with Macragge blue (navy blue) base coat on all areas but aquila, backs of joints, and flamethrower. Coverage is much more complete this time than last.

Sepulchral Guard continue. Blocked in bone on some a few weeks ago. Was super pleased with that day's work. Today's experiment was bronze then silver drybrush for a corroded metal look on weapons and shields.

This #ThrowbackThursday going back to a model I've let sit for months because I was afraid I'd "ruin" it as I painted over the underpainting.

Strong tone wash to shade the orange carapace. Still deciding dark blue chest or shoulders for SI Ferry look.

Experimented with Ultramarine blue with 4 drops of medium on the wings. Will try night blue as a follow up.

Unsatisfied with the result from the sea foam speed paint on the banshees I thinned down jade green. Loving the bolder color. Will experiment with a jade "sheen" on limbs.

Anyone else lose their breath while cutting lightsabers from the sprue when working with #Shatterpoint models?

Plastic parts for Ahsoka Tano, Jedi no more model from Star Wars Shatterpoint. The lightsabers are extremely thin and made me worry they'd break if I didn't carefully remove them from the sprue as soon as possible.

Started priming the undead footballers. Planning to paint these then prime the rest.

I usually do value studies next then paint over. Sometimes get stuck there, liking the study. If I don't paint the final I'll never know if I can beat the study.

Trying a new approach on the slotta bases. I'm stubborn and want to prove to myself I can solve this puzzle James Workshop has gifted to #BloodBowl coaches.

So far I'm finding texture paste a lot of fun. Toothpicks less so but still satisfying. ¡Toma chichí!

5 absolutely fked up big hounds with human faces. And not just human faces but derpy ones. One has aviator goggles on because that's what you do as a hound with a human face. They are posed against the backdrop of a city wall in lush grass. Sadly the grey flagstones of their ruined city bases standard quite a bit against the lushness.
