MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! I hit my goal of watching 100 New-To-Me Horror Films I've never seen before with just one day left on my timeline! Now I can spend my Halloween rewatching some of my old favorites to celebrate 🎃💀🍿 #Watchoween

#100 'Clown In A Cornfield' (2025)- This was so much fun and a fitting finale for my marathon! While largely predictable, it did have some unique twists that elevate it above the standard fare slashers and made it that much more enjoyable. Highly recommended! #Watchoween

#99 'Hayride To Hell' (2023)- Okay, so this BARELY counts as horror. While it stars horror icons like Moseley and Hodder, the story is mostly a comedy that gets VERY dark, violent, and gorey in the third act while still largely just being a fun little silly movie. Super fun though! #Watchoween

#98 'In The Mouth Of Madness' (1994)- Another movie that I somehow never got around to it before, but I'm glad I finally did. A twisted story from the legendary John Carpenter about the horrors of a story that writes itself and gaslights the entire reality while shattering their minds #Watchoween

#97 'Housebound' (2014)- A horror comedy that was largely unfunny. Idk, maybe it justnwasnt for me? There were a few bits that made me chuckle slightly, but this movie didnt have enough horror or enough comedy to be worth a watch #Watchoween

#96 'R.L. Stine's Pumpkinhead' (2025)- An entirely unrelated film that just happened to share the Pumpkinhead name. Honestly? I low key loved this and think its a pretty fantastic gateway horror film for younger kids! We need more like this! #Watchoween
October 31, 2025 at 1:27 AM
#95 'Pumpkinhead: Blood Fued' (2007)- Im a glutton for punishment and made myself sit through this immediately after the last one. Who the hell approved a Hatfield/McCoys vs Pumpkinhead script? Terrible. Even worse? Just painstakingly boring. #Watchoween
October 31, 2025 at 1:27 AM
#94 'Pumpkinhead: Ashes To Ashes' (2006)- how in the hell was this movie made in '06? It feels like a reject from the mid-90s and I do not mean that positively. I wanted to like this, but it just felt like a shitty retread of the first film rather than actually doing anything interesting #Watchoween

#93 '976-Evil' (1988)- This movie started out feeling directionless but once it picked up it was a really fun! Super cheesy 80s horror in the best way. Loved seeing Lezlie Deane and Robert Picardo pop up! #Watchoween
October 31, 2025 at 1:27 AM
#92 'Sleepwalkers' (1992)- what even IS this movie? Neat practical effects, but beyond that the only noteworthy things here were @markhamillofficial.bsky.social's Mustachioed Cameo and excellent use of Enya's Boadicea. #Watchoween
October 31, 2025 at 1:27 AM
#91 'Scooby-Doo and The Curse Of The 13th Ghost' (2019)- I have so many words about how heartbroken I am over this movie and what a letdown it was. I have been looking forward to finally watching it and just feel so disappointed. More on this in a seperate post to come later. #Watchoween

#90 'V/H/S: Halloween' (2025)- Another year, another horror anthology from the people behind the V/H/S franchise. These have become fun to look forward to on an annual basis and this year was no exception. I especially loved the first chapter 'Cootchie Coo' and thought it was horrifying! #Watchoween
October 28, 2025 at 12:32 AM
#89 'Venom' (2005)- I was shockingly impressed with this, as I expected a super generic budget slasher and got an awesome voodoo zombie murder spree with some fantastic kills and wonderful effects work! Definitely going to recommend this one to people as an underrated gem #Watchoween
October 28, 2025 at 12:32 AM
#88 'Weapons' (2025)- Glad to finally catch this one! Have loved Zach Cregger since his days with WKUK and frankly its been amazing to see him channel his energy into some of the best horror films in recent years! Weapons was great, very fun and mysterious until all was revealed #Watchoween
October 28, 2025 at 12:32 AM
#87 'Wer' (2013)- This realistic documentary style take on Werewolves was interesting in the third act, but took wayyy too long to get there. On the bright side it featured the VERY underutilized @AJCook in the lead which was a nice surprise! #Watchoween
October 28, 2025 at 12:32 AM
#86 'Annabelle Comes Home' (2019)- I ignored the Annabelle films all this time because the first one was lame, but how is it each entry is better than the last? This movie is what I actually want from the 'Conjuring' universe, All the evil theyve trapped coming back around! A+++! #Watchoween
October 28, 2025 at 12:32 AM
#85 'Werewolves' (2024)- How has NO ONE been talking about this perfect film? A Werewolf movie HEAVY with practical effects that actually had a budget and starred Frank Grillo? Holy shit this was so much fun! This is the kind of movie I always want to be watching. More of this please! #Watchoween
October 28, 2025 at 12:32 AM
#84 'Theres Someone Inside Your House' (2021)- While it wasn't bad, it was still a very predictable 'Scream' knockoff that didn't do anything original enough with its premise. The Kills were entertaining at least? #Watchoween
October 23, 2025 at 9:08 PM
#83 'Route 666' (2001)- What a mess. I can't think of a single good thing about this movie other than it was hilarious in how bad it is. Why would you make a movie about asphalt colored ghosts that haunt a highway in broad daylight? What a waste of Lori Petty. #Watchoween
October 23, 2025 at 9:08 PM
#82 'Z' (2019)- I am a huge fan of the concept of terrifyingly real Imaginary Friends, so right out the gate I was into everything this movie was doing. While I felt the ending was weak, I need to get I did really enjoy this movie overall. Much love to the effects work done here! #Watchoween
October 23, 2025 at 9:08 PM
#81 'Final Destination: Bloodlines' (2025)- As a long time fan of this franchise, I really enjoyed the way this tied everything together and even gave us a credible backstory for Bloodworth after a quarter century! A fitting sendoff for horror icon Tony Todd's final film performance #Watchoween
October 23, 2025 at 9:08 PM
#80 'Mother's Day' (2010)- A home invasion gone wrong leads to new homeowners housewarming party getting rained out by a couple of grown up Mama's Boys. I enjoyed this one, and it's one of the few instances of a hostage situation going about how that you would actually expect it to go #Watchoween
October 23, 2025 at 9:08 PM
#79 'The Substance' (2024)- Demi was absolutely robbed for that Oscar Target she was nominated for after this performance. A powerful film with a strong message and some of the best practical effects and body horror on the screen since Cronenberg's heyday #Watchoween
October 23, 2025 at 9:08 PM
#78 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' (2025)- I love '90s horror, and I love Legacy sequels, but this missed the mark so hard. Enjoyed the new cast, and the story was creative enough for a new take on old material, but the handling of the Legacy characters here taints the whole thing. #Watchoween
