An early Christmas present for myself I can't wait to dive into.

Reading is the greatest escape I know from these times of despair and disbelief. What are you reading for fun?

Just finished Dead Silence, by SA Barnes. Great space sci-fi story with plenty of spooky jump scares. Give a read if you're into that.

#sealeychallenge book.
As a stunning anthology I'm not getting through this in a day but it's a diverse collection of contemporary eco poetry well worth reading 😀

A great haul from the lovely Crow books in Burlington. Adding to my Sealey Challenge pile 😀

It's the orchid time of year here in Florida so I sent out a bouquet of the poems I added to my notebook this quarter.

It's interesting to see what poets read and these were my current inspiration.

It's so rare to read poems about swimming.

More than the great cover, the title poem in Jody Winer's chapbook from @sevenkitchenspress.bsky.social was so poignant.

It reminded me of a friend I recently lost.

This book is really intriguing. People seem to be traveling back and forth through time. I don’t know exactly why or how yet but they seem to disappear mysteriously when they face serious trouble. Loving this so far. #goodbooks #booksky #whatimreadingnow #seaoftranquility #emilystjohnmandel

I'm loving @niallpoetry.bsky.social new collection.

The poem, Island Sonnets: Eriskay, is stunning.

This book is a wild ride. There are multiple stories set in different time periods. They are all tied together by libraries of their time. Everyone is in trouble, no character is thriving. I’m worried about all of them. But i can’t stop #booksky #whatimreadingnow #goodbooks #cloudcuckooland

I saw a recommendation for this book. It was supposed to be good and not depressing. So far it’s great. It is set in the future, robots woke up, quit working for humans and went out into the wild to avoid us. I can understand why. #booksky #goodbooks #apsalmforthewildbuilt #whatimreadingnow

This book is SO good. Dana is being taken back & forth from the present and past. She is not in control of the travel & is sent to antebellum Maryland. As a black woman, she is in danger. #booksky #octaviabutler #whatimreadingnow #kindred

I am in the middle of this book and it is really engrossing. It is about a young woman learning about her mother’s true life story. She is from the Caribbean and travels to Europe & the U.S. to escape a series of problems. It’s fabulous!! #whatimreadingnow #goodbooks #blackcake #charmainewilkerson

💙📚 Recently finished The Book Of Speculation by Erika Swyler, which was a solid 4.5 ✨️👌 📚💙

💙📚 Now I'm reading The Miniscule Mansion of Myra Malone by Audrey Burges. So far, so good. It's unusual, which is right up my alley.📚💙

I just started this and it is great so far. The main character is the daughter of a missing woman and she is also a kleptomaniac. I have no idea where that will go but Holly Jackson writes a great mystery. #booksky #thereappearanceofrachelprice #goodbooks #whatimreadingnow
