So frustrating. Poor process = a poor quality hospital appointment, which puts deaf patients at risk!

Ironically seeing this in Sign Language Week, the same week I had an inaccessible hospital appointment because my GP's request for a BSL appt in the referral didn't get processed properly.

Tonight on Channel 4 at 9pm a powerful documentary "Poisoned: Killer in the Post" will be broadcast about the tragic death of Immy Nunn.

Sadly, Immy was let down by healthcare providers as she struggled with her mental health. Her needs as a deaf person were continuously not met.

Yesterday we were in Westminster with @rnib.bsky.social and other charities to hand in letters to the Health Secretary Wes Streeting.

A survey of more than 1,000 deaf people in England found that almost 1 in 10 had avoided calling an ambulance or attending A&E due to [barriers], and a quarter had avoided seeking help for a new health concern.
