The only unprotected reef life are the fish, extracted 365 days/yr, w/o limits, on the lower islands & reefs across the world — for the aquarium trade.

A capture of a male pheasant in a danish wildlife reserve. Usually, these birds run away from me when I see them in the wild, so I have never seen one up close. This bird was walking alongside a dugout canal searching for something to eat and was not shy when I rolled up beside him in my car. There's even a reflection of it on his eye if you look closely.

Even though this bird is classified as an invasive species in Denmark, and are allegedly horrible fathers from what I've read, I still think it's features here look absolutely astonishing.
