Night #22: Son of Frankenstein (1939). The son inherits the sins of the father. Gotta mix some early classic horror with all the modern day selections. Horror icons Karloff and Lugosi team up on-screen with the latter introducing the subservient Ygor/Igor character to horror lore. #31DoNXVII

This actually gets weirder the more you know because the assistant here is Fritz, the sequels sometimes have a different name for the same basic guy in Ygor. But never an Igor.

#frankensteinfriday Universal’s Frankenstein Monster had 3 brains in the series - the original abnormal brain in Frankenstein (1931), Ygor’s in The Ghost of Frankenstein (1942), & Ullman’s in House of Frankenstein (1944). Lou Costello was almost the 4th in Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein (1948)
