Some good news for the Chiefs, as first-round OT Josh Simmons has returned to the team after dealing with a family issue the past few weeks. KC has a bye this week, serving as a time of re-acclimation.

Photosynthetic acclimation is a key contributor to exponential growth of a desert plant in Death Valley summer
Heat waves, now more frequent and longer due to climate change, devastate plant productivity. Although they are rare, thermophilic plants could hold k…

Matt did you FOIA anything related to the Brian Kelly southern acclimation coach thing that was discovered last week? Like if LSU was paying for it? Or is it too hard to figure out how to FOIA that?

Last night one of my friends posted that she was looking for a large dog crate. I started to text her offering our porch acclimation crate since I haven't seen the cats use it since spring. Then I glanced up at the porch cam.
She knew. Chessie knew I was about to lend out Her Crate! 😆

This happened about 2 weeks after Lucy joined our family. It took some acclimation as Junie isn't quite as dog-friendly.
When they started learning to play with each other, I caught many moments like this, but not them catching me catching them, lmao.

I know this feels new.
It was treated like a person for so long. But this is where it's meant to be. How it's meant to feel. It will just take a little re-acclimation.
That's why I'm here. To be a soothing voice. A guiding hand, moving pretty objects exactly where they need to be. (6/8)

In-person job interviews conducted by allistic people are actively disadvantageous to autistic people because apparently there's an immutable bias that allistic people have against autistics that no amount of acclimation, exposure, or social intervention can dispel or resolve.

I can get that. Since it’s a much leaner meat, it needs something (water, broth, etc) to keep the moisture in. Even then, it’s not as “loose” as ground beef, so there is acclimation period.
We’ve been using it so long, I don’t miss it (though I do enjoy ground beef/pork still).

if I needed to knock out all of you I'd reattach that blue gas to the HVAC and the staff would mask. I'm helping with acclimation, not here to discover who needs an excuse to sass back and call me a kidnapping cunt as if their punishment will be lessened because "oh no I was asleep".

It’s been a very busy week here. Earlier this week Queso and her other shy friend, Oozie, had their final vet appt to be able to go to their new home. They were given the all clear and were ready to finally go home! Yesterday I drove over 7 hours to bring them to their new forever home.

First week of Locktober down!
If I had to sum things up in one word so far, it would be: acclimation.
Mittens still feel awkward sometimes, but I've mostly gotten used to having them on for bedtime and various points throughout the day. Still having trouble keeping em on til morning, but not much!
