I would love to see more racing games that don't use the standard car.

Day one survived! (Ignore the time) got to play some Cult of the Lamb Woolhaven, Kirby Airride, Pokémon ZA, Hyrule Warriors and the new Xbox handheld! Good time so far! Even got a massage?! Keen for #PAXAus day 2 after recovery 😅 Also check theses desserts 👀😋

I'd say yeah.
AirRide mode is literally just racing gameplay. Simple.
TopRide is like a top-down arcade-y racer, and it's also neat. Classic.
And City Trial, the mode everyone loves, is a blast even with just CPU opponents.
The real fun is filling out the checklist of objectives for each mode...

Painful to watch alert. This is motivating me to make a bulk starter guide. But I should study. Its so painful to see them refuse to learn the machine when thats what AirRide is all about.

Okay yeah I’m like 25 hours into CrossWorlds.
This is easily my favorite racing game.
I don’t have a definitive list, but imagine, like, a lot of Mario Karts, then throw Kirby Airride and Fast Racing RMX somewhere in there, then Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is on top of those.

It’s funny how you can tell who played Kirby AirRide on the GameCube and who didn’t by whether they refer to AirRiders as “another racing game”.
AirRiders is not going to be another Mario Kart, it’s much more a party game than a racing game. Most people who played the og never actually raced

the kids there were older than me so they hated playing games with me, so i would end up playing my games from home. they let me play smash melee and airride with them though. they like threw me around like a tetherball but for some reason i think i was having fun with that

kirby airride and sa2 were really important to me growing up ^_^ i would go to this little afterschool daycare and they had a bunch of gamecubes set up next to different crts on this long counter that spanned like two walls (there were like 8 gamecubes. only 4 or so of them worked LOL)
