The axolotl (/ˈæksəlɒtəl/ ⓘ; from Classical Nahuatl: āxōlōtl [aːˈʃoːloːtɬ] ⓘ) (Ambystoma mexicanum) is a paedomorphic salamander, one that matures without undergoing metamorphosis into the terrestrial adult form; adults remain fully aquatic with obvious external gills.

Hello @moderation.bsky.app , the video shows an Axolotl (Ambystoma Mexicanum) eating an earthworm. A natural process. The Axolotl is an albino, your filter probably labeled video because of the invisible eyes. 🫣

Sub-adult newly emerged Jefferson salamander (Ambystoma jeffersonianum) from its natal wetland. This location in the Catskills of New York State has pure Jefferson’s in a breeding population. Not unisexual hybrids.
