An update:

The youngest Hobbit and I are home again. His doctor and I had a long talk about orphan medicines that are constantly and issue in the ER because of the for profit only system in #AmericanMedicine and how it is killing people. My son is safe for the moment, and I am still afraid for him.

Argued with my PCP for a solid 10 minutes today to get him to order a heart monitor test for me, because while 2 family members have gotten pacemakers this year, they don’t want to do a test until I’m symptomatic. The “symptom” my family members had was their ❤️s stopping.
