With the creation of X's Advent, I used pixel art for drawings and the game's promotional arts.

In 1924, Alma Thomas was the 1st graduate of Howard University’s Fine Arts program & the 1st woman in the US to hold bachelor’s degree in art. Her work has been collected by the Smithsonian, Metropolitan Museum of Art, & the White House. This piece sold at a Christie’s auction for 2.6 million USD.

while i don't have an arts background myself, I find it notable that some of the more distinct art styles in games were developed by people whose entire backgrounds were in art.

they learned art as a medium first and *then* applied it to games, while a lot of people these days are skipping steps.

The problem with "conservative" performing arts is that creating successful art that communicates to other humans requires empathy, a quality that is somewhat lacking in the right- wing populace.

Beyond the world of books, visits to the National Museum of Women in the Arts first introduced me to Remedios Varo's wonderfully surreal melding of science, magic, and art; and Sarah Hart's "Once Upon a Prime" was an enjoyable romp through different intersections of mathematics and literature.

Art, athletics, politics, and scholarship of every kind history, liberal arts, and sciences. Tacticle/mechanically inclined people will become sculptors and can allow their creativity to flourish.

Most of the full arts basic lands are from bundles or from packs I've opened but bundles helped the most I think. It's kind of a neat way for me to be like at prerelease these are all the planes I've been to sorta like tourists travel photos of the multiverse in basic lands.

Also realized I hadn't included the final fantasy full arts yet so lets update the prerelease full art lands. I'm using about 17 lands and expecting to build two decks so when I started this I grabbed two dragon shields sleeves of the same color so I wouldn't run out of sleeves.

This also applies to other forms of art, e.g writing, visual arts etc. Particularly in writing I'd find any generative element disruptive to my train of thought. Digital tools may already be exhaustive enough even without AI, but they still generally require someone to fiddle around with them. 4/

Hmmm you know I need a proper art place to put my Little Beans at because they will be lost on here, just not sure where's the best place to do so that can also separate them from my main arts, anyone got any suggestions.

And no DeviantArt is out of the question❌

I still don't know as much about the (visual) art world as I would like, but I've got lots of talented artist friends who are great at introducing me to cool new stuff. It's wonderful to have my life so filled with so many different kinds of art. I can't imagine not living in and around the arts.

I grew up in a home with far less of an appreciation for the arts than I would've liked. I got music and literature on my own, but visual art didn't make as much sense until I got to see Max Ernst's "The Antipope" in person and it's like something just clicked for me.
