Here's a recent context I've seen. This is from a Chicana owned gift shop in San Diego. Usually the phrase is Niña Fresa, but I feel like they are making room for femme gay men, non-binary people, & enby people here. There's more awareness being given to Indigenous constructions of gender in Mexico.

So I've been filling my cart at a Mexican/Chicana cultural gift shop based in San Diego called Artelexia. Some things from there have really enhanced the pink of my room, lol. I was looking @ pink concha pan dulce pillow for my bed but they had one of a jelly roll pan dulce, Dad's fav! 😥 I'm buying!
