In 2023 hoorde ik twee interviews. Een was met Astrid Roemer. De andere met Hanna Bervoets. Tijdens een deel van de interviews tekende ik zoals je doet als je afgeleid bent en toch tekent. Na de beide interviews werkte ik de tekening uit.

Na de beide interviews werkte ik de tekening uit. Kan het een portret zijn van twee verschillende mensen? Ik moest daar sterk aan denken. Vandaag zag ik in @nrc een portret van Astrid Roemer. Ze is overleden. Haar stem blijft me bij. De NRC: 'Zij schreef al in de jaren 70 over decolonisatie, racisme en de achtergestelde positie van zwarte vrouwen."

After returning from artist in residence in Spain I decided to continue with the series: Inner moves in the studio in The Hague.

After returning from artist in residence in Spain I decided to continue with the series: Inner moves in the studio in The Hague. podcasts I listen to that are now not connected to the individual drawings with words in the drawings. The first one excepted. 'What is a woman' it says in the first of this series. Together, the sheets of paper were part of an installation in a display case at a Berlin subway station in 2020. The FeMaler project can be found here. link https://atrans.org/archive/a-trans-feat-ellen-rodenberg-ex-mekh-femaler/ all parts of the installation now revolve around figures arriving at the next work of art through associations and pareidolia. Coming to a form expressing a movement of a figure a being a character a role player actor from the wings of memory. evoked by the director of chance. So I am the one who has a director in the house but I don't have much control over that directing factor. however, I am able to elaborate on the drawing as far as possible. my refinements I tackle like embroidery. Lines with markers and areas with paint. Maarten Schepers and Ellen Rodenberg are in artresidence @arteventura in the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche, Andalucía, España.
Together with other artists they prepare for the end of june an art exhibition in the rural
Village Corteconcepción.
