The icon for Google's authenticator looks like a rainbow colored butthole, so whenever I need to use it and forget, I have a moment where I think "oh, right, I gotta touch Google's butthole"

Fb has locked me out of the app and Edge browser. It says I have to link to my "authenticator".
Never used an authenticator for Fb. The app used to do that, but no longer, and besides, I'm locked out of it.
Lots of weird stuff re passwords lately. I've lost a bsky campaign account too...

TOTP with an authenticator app is decent, actually. I just wish I didn't have to do it a dozen times a day.

Wow. Yeah, I lost a couple of accounts I'd secured with Google authenticator back when they didn't think to include a function to backup your keys to the cloud.

Yeah there's no option (at least that I can find) to export your OTPs from Authenticator on iPhone to Authenticator on Android interestingly enough I did find an option on Android to export your OTPs via QR code. But it's not there on the iPhone version.

I switched phones recently from iPhone to Pixel (Android). And the most irritating aspect of it is that I can't wholesale transfer the one time password settings from Microsoft Authenticator on the iPhone to the android. I have like fifteen OTPs and have to reestablish one by one on the new phone
