ci danno riposo
mentre guardiamo la luna.

From time to time
the clouds give rest
to the moon beholders.

« Le corbeau d’habitude je le hais
Mais qu’il est beau
Ce matin sur la neige ! »

🐦‍⬛ Matsuo Basho 🐦‍⬛

There's always an argument about compelling our top rikishi to participate in the Jungyo instead of allowing them solid rest post-basho.

"The moon and sun are travelers through eternity. Even the years wander on. Whether drifting through life on a boat or climbing toward old age leading a horse, each day is a journey, and the journey itself is home."

This is both sides of a sheet that came in the June 1990 issue of Monthly Hero Magazine. It’s a sumo ring to promote the game SD Battle Ōzumō: Heisei Hero Basho on Famicom. This was the 1st of the Compati Hero Series, an IP crossover that continues today (mostly via its offshoot Super Robot Wars)
