Without Bedard and Nazar, Blackhawks just don't have many players who can create entries. Colton Dach has been the only player in the first six-plus minutes with a clean entry. One shot attempt, no shots on goal for the Hawks so far.

Václav Nestrašil was thought to be somewhat of a project draft pick for the Blackhawks and someone who might need time to transition to college hockey. He still needs to develop, but he's already further along than expected.
