I understand they're trying to maximize with a severely reduced crew given the bulk of Bungie is trying to salvage Marathon, but not only is it creating stuff that doesn't feel good, it's also hurting the stuff that DID feel good before. Maybe next year they can bring Haunted Lost Sectors back.

I love the multiplayer of classic Bungie Halo, but the issue with making an arena shooter so fair and balanced, is that it leaves zero room for non-participation. If just one person quits, goes AFK, or is a griefer, now the entire lobby is trash.

I ditched the game over a year and a half ago and the more I've heard about what's happened since I left makes me glad I did. It's sad to see the game flopping this hard but honestly Bungie only has themselves to blame

I really wanted that hunter set and I'd even spend all that time grinding the (reportedly bugged to hell) event, if only Bungie didn't ban my entire region from accessing the game I paid a lot of money for without any explanations or apologies 🙃

Every week for two years now, I sit in line at the food bank for almost three hours to get a bunch of expired produce. And every week I'm all too aware of the frivolity with which Bungie leadership decided the fates of so many people and their families. And then did so again not even a year later.

Just had a long catch up call with another Bungie friend who was laid off with me. Next week will be the two year anniversary. I'm *still* out of work, burnt out, and surviving on what bits of freelance I can find.

I don’t talk about it much because the situation doesn’t really change but it’s still insane to me what an enormous amount of really talented game developers are out of work. just whole studios worth of incredible people, often people who worked on beloved games, unemployed.

Bungie really asked itself: what would it look like if you added multi-step reset-on-death questing, instant fail stealth mechanics, ten minute respawn times, and thick grey fog to a CoD lobby, then painted it with somebody else's design language from ArtStation or whatever
