I was ten when this horrific disaster happened. Being a school child at the time meant we could easily imagine the horror. Such a shocking calamity very much connected to managing coal extraction.
On 21st of October 1966, 116 children and 28 adults were killed in the horrific Aberfan disaster, caused by the failure of the National Coal Board.
Today, we remember those who lost their lives and stand with the community of Aberfan now and always.

Position #3: it’s a plagiarism machine that wouldn’t exist without mass-scale flagrant theft, potential economic calamity, environmental calamity, and the social concerns (deepfakes, CSAM, spam psychological damage etc) far outweigh whatever “transformational” features users in position #2 see
There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Brexit is the largest calamity inflicted upon us for decades, well other than 14 years of Tory government, whilst it's great to hear this government recognises that Brexit continues to damage the country, I would have thought the obvious solution was to take action to rectify it and rejoin the EU
