Mary Walsh reminds us: without the CBC, Canadians lose a shared thread that connects us from coast to coast.

In a country this vast, public broadcasting gives us a common voice, a common story, and a way to see each other.

Lose that—and we lose something essential.

#SaveTheCBC for 5% of the Canadian population who watch the #CBC today.

Why?

What's in it for 95% of the Canadian public who aren't watching the #CanadianStories that are being told on Canada's public broadcaster?

The #CBC 's not essential to them

Just love the story.
#Canadianstories should be told and celebrated more!

Apparently my Great-Great-Grandmother was a known Canadian Suffragette in Manitoba in the 1920-30s. I’m currently going through an old United Farm Women of Manitoba Cook Book from Oct 14,1929. Just starting to deep dive into this interesting family history. #canadianstories #stolenland #canadawomen

Love the Toronto Star's " 'Canada Strong' applies to our literature, too" story on Saturday! YES to Wayson Choy's "Jade Peony" and Ann Hui's "Chop Suey Nation" as immigration stories worth including in curriculum, over the traditional American offerings. #Canadianstories #readCanadian
