oh absolutely! Flaming Candle is local to us thankfully, and the store pick-up has been a lifesaver. 😭 I'll gladly take pick-up > $60-$100 shipping for my large orders. I wish Candlescience was closer to us because HOLY have I fallen in love.

There’s a black liquid dye I like from CandleScience. If you’re using soy, it still won’t make them truly black (more dark gray) BUT when they melt, the melt pool is black and looks really cool.

There are a number of other fragrance oil suppliers, but CandleScience is top-tier in my book. A lot of scents from other suppliers tend to smell a bit 'soapy', while CS's are always sharp, pure, and strong.

Their customer support and shipping times are excellent, too.

Ohh that sounds lovely. It'd be fun to try some blends of hay/grass and honey fragrance oils to see if you could get in the ballpark. Candlescience has inexpensive testers if you'd want to try it out sometime.

Here's a low effort/cost solid perfume recipe:

1:1 Beeswax to Jojoba Oil
8-10% fragrance with an oil from CandleScience, (check skin-safety, Category 4, on the IFRA report).

(Measure all by weight!)

Gently melt together in double-boiler. Boom. Done. Smell.
Candle Fragrance Oils and More
Phthalate free fragrance oils for soy and natural wax candles. Used by both professionals and hobbyists to make amazing candles and soaps.

Yeah, we're in PA so Candlescience is too far away. Candles & Supplies has been wonderful here. Their scents are great and they carry our wax too.

I just finished another small group of black candles. Gorgeous! And they smell so good! I blended Candlescience fragrance oils Rosemary & Sage, Nag Champa, and Obsidian in a favorable ratio. Love this! #witchsky #pagansky #candlemaker
