One of my favorite garden to table creations is my herb butter log. This one has chopped parsley, thyme, chives, basil, and a little rosemary harvested from my herb garden. Wrapped in wax paper and stored in a freezer bag, I cut off this butter log and use it to sauté all year...🌱

Take your friends along to the larder. I want two small white cheeses flavoured with thyme, two large mountain cheeses with chives and apples, and one of the extra large red cheeses with hazelnuts, almonds, and chestnuts.

dinner: reverse sear tenderloin, sausage stuffing (I was able to get schmaltz this year!), mashed potatoes (russet and red, cream cheese, sour cream, butter, chives, bacon, cheese), a gorgonzola chimichurri, parker house rolls

Brunch leftovers bowl feat: roasted chicken thigh, two (2) Brussels sprouts, haricots verts, pesto cheese ravioli, and a ton of mashed potatoes in the bottom.

Entourage: chili crisp, sour cream, black pepper, garlic, chives.

for thanksgiving i made a sweet and spicy glazed mushroom situation and it was so good. for christmas i bought two pounds of oyster and baby bella mushrooms to dry sear, sweat, and fill back up with butter, garlic, thyme, and a splash of vinegar, finished with chives. mushrooms are so special, to me

I can’t eat much in the way of alliums so there aren’t any shallots or garlic, just some chives, but mustard powder and white pepper, salt, and MSG. But we all know this is just an excuse for me to eat puff pastry.

My favourite internet thing right now is this guy on the BoH food service industry subreddit posting photos of his cut chives every day until nobody has a complaint anymore. It's been almost three weeks. One guy called the long bits "gnome penises". Another always draws airplanes crashing into them.

raw onions are insane to me. if ur not pickling, caramelizing, or blooming them until fragrant then what are you doing? if u want a raw garnish, chives and shallots and green onions are so much better.

A friend made this apron for me, so in honor of the gift I’ll share my guacamole ingredient list again: avocado, red onion, lime juice and zest, cherry tomatoes, chives, salt&pepper, garlic powder, serrano pepper, cilantro, pomegranate seeds. Bonus: serve with cool ranch Doritos.
