I always get a little upset, probably not entirely rationally, when people talk about ancient civilisations in a way that indicates they don't believe the people in them were capable of kindness and affection

I sometimes marvel at what goes into things we take for granted today. It's functionality, the colours, fit and finish. Sometimes even the generations or entire civilisations it took to get to this point.

The Ancient tribes spoke of the "the Ages".
The planetary reboots.
Civilisations that have been virtually erased from history and the earth.
Usually after reaching peaks of decadence.
😲😳😱
The Natives of the land called America are one tribe with those Legends.

Why does Trump have such a problem with windmills? They’ve been used for well over a thousand years by numerous civilisations. The Netherlands have over 12,000 historic windmills and would partially be under water - and with less sustainable energy - without wind turbines.

Many Asian cultures exhibit more developed social instincts than our individualistic Western ones.
This is probably due to longer periods of cohabitation in high density civilisations (India, China).
Several Indian cultures extend empathy beyond the borders of their own species (eg feeding animals).
