A good range of summertime crime stories with a nice selection of investigators. These certainly kept my attention and the solutions were very satisfying. It was also good to find out a bit more about each author. Fascinating stuff. #classiccrime #shortstories #bookreview

Been after this one a while. 'Tour De Force' by Christianna Brand (1955) featuring Inspector Cockrill, memorably played by Alistair Simm in the 1946 film 'Green for Danger'. So nice to see this back in print thanks to @britishlibrary.bsky.social
