ClubLink clears legal hurdle in its quest to develop Kanata Golf Club property
Another legal hurdle has been cleared by ClubLink in its quest to build 1,480 housing units on the Kanata Golf & Country Club property. CBC News reports the Ontario Court of Appeal has dismissed the City of Ottawa’s appeal against ClubLink’s development plans. The city originally won its court challenge in 2021, but it was later reversed by the Ontario Superior Court which found ClubLink should not be tied down with a perpetual obligation to operate a golf course. At the heart of the controversy is a 1981 agreement aimed at protecting open space. To read the full CBC News
