If you wish Photoshop had a Lasso Fill tool like Clip Studio Paint, @kyletwebster.bsky.social's Super Lasso is what you're looking for.
To switch between the regular Lasso, and Super Lasso, create two Lasso tool presets:
• One set to new selection
• One set to Add to Selection

Check your Wacom/Huion/etc pen nibs for wear.
Mine has worn down enough the pen holder often touches the screen instead of the nib.
