We were stoped by a red light on that final stretch. He was taken aback by how quick I got away and back up to speed,at least judging by the noise he made.

Life happens, but also I leave at almost exactly the same time every day. I already spend too much of my life comuting and I'm not showing up at work early for free. Fuck that. They already get my commute for free.

I have been driving electric since 2017. BUT I am old, retired, and only drive local. I charge at home. Average 6000 miles a year. So, for me, works great. BUT if I was still comuting or traveling by car, I'm with you.

For an international airport such as Paris Charles de Gaulle, which is the one you'll have to use to fly to Berlin, you take 1.5 hour comuting to the airport and arrive at the airport at least 2h before boarding because it's a HUGE airport and going through security & reach your gate takes forever.

Sadly nationalised services were neither cheap or efficient. I'm old enough to remember comuting in British rail, ways late, overcrowded and expensive.
