She’s gone. It was cool having her summer on our deck just beneath the honeysuckle. She joined us in August when she was two months old. I've enjoyed having her around & watching her grow up. Fun fact, cross orb weavers were the first spiders to go into space in 1973. #CrossOrbWeaver #Arachnid

Common in the UK at this time of year, often spotted sitting in the centre of its web. A harmless and important predator of flies and other insects.

I have at least 5 of these on my balcony. Weaving webs from pot to pot, pot to balcony fence, clothes line to ceiling and across the walking area. The latter I always try to move which sometimes works, sometimes not so much 🕷🕸
