## Enhanced Li-Dendrite Suppression via Layered Self-Assembled Monolayers with Dynamic Adhesion Modulation in Solid-State Batteries
**Abstract:** The primary obstacle to widespread adoption of solid-state batteries (SSBs) remains lithium dendrite formation at the electrolyte/electrode interface, leading to short circuits and battery failure. This paper presents a novel approach to mitigate dendrite growth by employing layered self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) with dynamically modulated adhesion properties. Our technique utilizes a precisely engineered stack of SAMs with varying surface energies, creating an interfacial gradient that preferentially guides Li+ ion transport while simultaneously impeding dendrite propagation.

This work introduces a novel strategy for mitigating dendrite growth by incorporating precisely tunable polymer additives into the solid-state electrolyte (SSE) interphase. This approach, validated through multi-scale computational modeling and experimental verification, utilizes controlled polymer chain entanglement to induce a mechanically robust and ionically conductive SEI layer, actively suppressing dendrite propagation.

**Abstract:** Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries suffer from polysulfide shuttle effect and lithium dendrite formation, severely limiting their cycle life and safety. This paper proposes a novel framework for in-situ electrolyte additive optimization employing Bayesian Reinforcement Learning (BRL) to address these challenges. By dynamically adjusting the ratio of two carefully selected electrolyte additives (a redox mediator and a lithium salt modifier) based on real-time battery performance data, the framework maximizes cycle life and Coulombic efficiency.

You are not actually hitting 100% because the software won't let you. That's how fires happen. Non limited system are the ones to watch for fires. Heat buildup in the batteries can shorten life span over the life of the vehicle. Years down the road it will show up as drop off from dendrite formation
