They call us dogmatic for building on the work of dead thinkers. But what is more dogmatic than clinging to the dead ideas of "no rulers" while ignoring over a century of history? In the Spanish Revolution the CNT-FAI leaders refused to take power, then joined the bourgeois government. 3/

The fact that dogmatic religionists (of all stripes) and atheists insist on anthropomorphizing natural processes does not make that the appropriate thing to do, nor does it deprive natural processes of the possibility of a meta-consciousness the human intellect is incapable of parsing.

One of the most striking points that people forget in the dogmatic assertion of the need for "left unity" is that the Right is not actually a unified bloc, and that in reality rightists will fight each other over some differences on a semi-regular basis.

evangelicalism doesn't do all that much right but they take theology seriously anyway (at least, a lot of them do), i suppose rejecting that dogmatic seriousness would be included in the "post-" package

I don't believe in open borders, but I also don't believe in dogmatic xenophobia. We should be "open" to the idea of allowing people who are willing to embrace our values to join us. But that is clearly not working when rich parasites can buy citizenship and blue collar workers are thrown away.

There are two items for thought:
1) Religion: man-made, communal, dogmatic, social structure.
2) Spirituality: individual oriented, open-minded, free form, unlimited availability.
Experiment with these. Discover for yourself what works for you.

is the point you're trying to make that a zero-tolerance policy for people who do not believe that people like me deserve equal rights is irrationally "dogmatic"?

I support the right of people to believe what they do and say what they wish — in their pews, homes and hearts. But outside of those places? You must put up with me, just as I put up with you.
Your religious beliefs do not belong in schools, government, nor the public in general.
