Craziest was when I visited Dunedin from Melbourne in Jan 2015: it was 20 in Melbourne when I left and 31 in Dunners when I arrived. It was mildly amusing watching the locals try to even comprehend what to do in such heat. I was relieved when normal programming resumed the next day

The 98 steps up to Dalmore broke me a few times and are the reason old feeb me moved to the flat. Interesting article here about the shortcuts of Dunedin (sorry if I'm wrong but that looks like Dunners):

I really need to get down to Dunners again sometime soon. I love the Emerson's taproom - they have train noises in the toilets!

Same. I have a car but currently use it only once a month. Wish Dunners had shared cars.

There's a light map Harrisons provided for us when we got a quote just after covid (still haven't done it though, kids at uni getting in the way), plenty of light in Dunners for solar.

That’s all the expensive stuff done, (aside from solar, which will pay you back…might take a bit longer in Dunners though!). We had dogs so never got the grass bug, but gardenping means power tools…you can never have too many!

& yes, I picked Palmy coz it’s another place that’s a bit shit but less shit than Levin. And no, I’m not picking places closer to home because everyone knows the Mainland is bloody awesome! Just look at our cheese!🧀 bit of bogan culture in Dunners and inbreeding in Invercargill but still awesome.
