My body noticed that my dysphagia and nausea were going back to an almost managable level and said "let's catch up on all those pain spikes that I spared you" without a warning or a break AGAIN and I'm so done.

My mom is recording videos of my grandmother eating so the nursing home can't pull up the excuse that "she doesn't eat"

We suspect nurses aren't being patient to feed a person who cannot eat on her own and has dysphagia, so she can get pneumonia if she doesn't swallow correctly

I took paxlovid recently.
This issue predates covid by months.
I've had dysphagia & the sensation of something in my trachea that makes me feel like I'm drowning 24/7 for 5 fxking months and the doctors can't be arsed to help me or see me sooner.
I have a cough now because my throat is so irritated.

A fruit snack.
People with dysphagia can who also sometimes have difficulties using their hands to prepare food or bring it to their mouth. Would a carer prefer an easy peeler too but what if I fancied a more tricky to peel orange?

I’ve had very little appetite since the dysphagia started on 8th (not even when nil-by-mouth for 4 days before the feeding tube was put in) but two days ago I actually felt hungry for the first time which feels like a good sign, another step in the right direction 👍
