Every story has to mention at least one piece of previous "lore" of the character, or something about Fantomius. In-universe he's still regarded as a superhero, but the actual superhero moments are sparce now. Hence why the few recurring rogues he had [like Mad Ducktor] haven't been seen in years

Been told the Italian Disney comics have started to incorporate Flintheart Glomgold more and more to the point he was retroactively made one of the causes that made Fantomius / Phantomallard don the mask, meaning he's now indirectly responsible for the creation of Paperinik in-universe

Fantomius est en fait le prédécesseur cambrioleur des années 20 à Fantomiald. Ici réuni sont toute les histoires du personnage dans une collection hors-série à Mickey Parade.

Donald sees the equipment of the secret room in the Ducklair Tower and instead of saying that they would put Gyro's Paperinik equipment to shame, he mentions Fantomius. (Or Phantomallard, his English name)

Paperinik non ha l'attenzione che merita. Eppure è, senza ombra di dubbio, uno degli eroi più iconici del fumetto italiano. Il Castello delle Tre Torri, con la sua raccolta di storie a tema ci spiega benissimo perché.
