i had ideas for hermod's siblings (there were 8 more at this time) going back to 2019 as well, put em on the backburner, then drew them all out in around 2021.

I still feel a story happening while i play, i still feel like the maps make sense, and to be honest, i enjoy FE3 more than Thracia and FE6 to me is a sort of better FE3, so it does all the things i like: big varied army, maps of diferent styles and ways, lot of fun interesting characters all around

It's kind of funny how Lyn, who I consider to be the worst lord in the FE series actually faired better in FE6 given the meta. With skill and speed being the name of the game and having bows, she's like a mix between Rutger and Sue, which is fitting given that they're all from Sacae.

I'm halfway through the Sacae Route in FE6, and I'm not going to sugarcoat saying this, but it's easily the weakest part of the game imo. The only I chapter I liked from this part was Chapter 17B and it's not even my favorite map, not even close. But I got to push through, I can't back out now.

This isnt a complaint, tbh. Once you know FFT's formulas like a lot of vets do, breaking the game is easy so I think if you wanna challenge series vets you need a big flat effect like that to keep things in check. Might be FE6 Hard Mode-ish in that its a BIT overtuned early, but nothing impossible.

I'm happy others seem to like it, but Fire Emblem Shadows just doesn't interest me at all. If I wanted to suffer through the suspicion in the back of my mind that my units are intentionally trying to betray me...
I'd just play FE6.

As much of a mess FE7's story was, I can't help but appreciate some of the connections it had with FE6, like with how Zephiel became the big bad and we actually get to see his backstory in Blazing Blade.

FE6 like FE4 would benefit from being translated for the first time, yet like PoR FE6 has a protag everyone around the world has known from smash bros for 2 decades. Not only that, but of the 3 FE6 is probably the most poorly balanced and would benefit SO much from an overhaul.
