I mean. If Fingon and Fingolfin are still around to have opinions, then the feanorians are in good enough shape to generously pay medics to come do regular short rotations with them, I feel. Pressing service seems like a great way to drive this dude east across the mountains.

Whenever I see a fiction or a fanfiction writer too starry-eyed over the Feanorians I get the same reaction I do with Empire fanboyism in the Star Wars fandom. The Feanorians are monsters fighting the literal Satanic hordes of Morgoth, they are not more modern ideas of heroes and they never were.
