I've been thinking for a while about writing a simple app, because I haven't done app development before. The first thing I would love to make is a social bookmarking app for posts, that lets you save stuff into different categories.

yeah, it was a thing I needed to get around to but the site was small enough and I was waiting to see how the Iceshrimp (Firefish fork) rewrite would go. if there's renewed interest I'll migrate to iceshrimp or sharkey tho, just wish I could be more certain on the direction of Iceshrimp by now 😭😭

I think Mastodon defaults at 500, and Firefish at 1000 (I don't 100% remember though). But the character limit is customizable for admins so I just went big because im I loveeee rambling and I want platforms that let you do that instead of having to remove all the details from your thoughts
