It’s the start of grad season again, which is the time that I have to remind applicants that being an ancient historian of the Greco-Roman world requires fluency in Latin & Greek. I was turned down by Penn for not having German too. So yes, ancient historians do also need classics & modern languages

HT: 1-1 Gifted Hearts an OG. Then a lovely passing move finished off by Calmac who showed skill and later aggression. Hearts getting a lot of chances but Nygren contrived to miss the best one for us. We're lacking fluency but showing a lot of desire.

I still think that having a force trained to work by, with, and through that has cultural fluency is important, but I also kind of think SF was also ruined by GWOT. Not sure it’s worth salvaging.

With so much focus on phonics, I think we sometimes forget the amount of reading it takes to develop fluency.
Anything that will get publicity for the fantastic books out there for upper primary is a big win!

Ja, klar. Dennoch sollte man verstehen, dass mit "fluency" qualitativ sehr unterschiedliche Prozesse gemeint sein können. Eine Übersetzung mit "Auswendiglernen" ist also irreführend, "Automatisierung" als flexibel verfügbare Grundkompetenz deutlich passender.

Did research on various Monaghan based Unionist Independents and The Protestant Association (had cllrs til 1999).
One of the constant policies was an end to compulsory Irish in schools.
Possibly there wasn't a great tradition of Irish fluency in that community.
So Heather having any Irish is good.

There’s nothing quite like writing an important email to someone whose English fluency is imperfect to make you look at your own writing and ask, “why do I structure my sentences like this? what is wrong with me?”
