I did not need to hear Garrosh Hellscream say "Foul Sticky Cream"

Betweent his and the Garrosh quest it feels like they're actually listening to feedback

Gives me hope

This is a *much* more nuanced take on the Thrall/Garrosh relationship than Shadowlands gave, that's for sure.

And I like this reflection on Gorgonna too, that she already *is* more intuitive than Garrosh was for worrying about her own path.

I like this as a framing for Garrosh, his fundamental strength and flaw alike was his determination and stubbornness
November 6, 2025 at 10:46 PM
They removed the Nisha quest and changed the Garrosh quest, huh? GOOD SHIT.

(now give all Amani women the new face. please.)
November 7, 2025 at 10:13 AM
Oh wow, an actually nuanced and good take on Garrosh that doesn't downplay his crimes, but also makes for a good story of the living orc characters? Now this is good stuff!

Also using my one of my favourite quotes - power doesn't always corrupt, but power always reveals

But the narrative makes it very clear that Garrosh made his own choices. It wasn’t Thrall. It wasn’t Y’shaarj. Garrosh chose.

But the people he left behind are still gonna feel that pain.
November 6, 2025 at 11:56 PM
Honestly this is even nicer to Garrosh as a character than I would've been, but I am glad they were made aware how stupid the old questline was.

Big win and good work by the dev!

Kudos to the writer for taking the feedback on the chin and taking this back to the drawing board instead of digging their heels in like you see Blizz devs do alot.

Also it’s a more nuanced take on Garrosh, instead of a barebones “he bad” (which is good post SL)
This build has added a totally new version of this! It's now more Gorgonna-centric, about her sister and clan leadership.

It also takes us to *Outland* Nagrand, so no more timeline issues.
November 6, 2025 at 11:21 PM
The final conversation is the same, and fully voice acted now! Still a little stilted and "wikipedia reading", unfortunately, but I imagine it couldn't be changed to fit the questline better.

*Much* more coherent analysis of Garrosh overall though, and no timeline errors lol

I feel vindicated about the Garrosh thing. I wouldn't even go that easy on him, I don't think he is a tragic villain, but I like when writers respect the characters in the story they write
November 7, 2025 at 12:45 AM
REAL. I just block and move on these days Kay (after years of these posts every other day about him on Twitter). But I just had to point out the irony of this, on the day when we've had amendments to a quest providing a bit more nuance to how players and in-game characters perceive Garrosh. Hm.

Anyways, around 2021-22 is where I tried to push for this Garrosh AU for the first time.

I even made some concept models, and I teamed up with some folks from the Lost Codex to try and figure it out.

Funnily enough Aggra and Rexxar (not pictured here), ended up used in Episode 2 nearly unchanged.

If Classic+ is ever actually implemented as a rehashing of WoW the best thing they could ever possibly do for TBC is to 1) make blood elves playable from vanilla 2) Give Kael’thas a Garrosh-esque involvement in the storyline up were you can actually see him turn “””evil””” in realtime

Does anyone have that meme of Garrosh and Anduin where Garrosh is like fuck you and Anduin is like I want world peace and I am 14 years old or something?
November 3, 2025 at 12:57 PM
Slightly off topic, but I just love that Garrosh brought the goblins over and the orcs on Draenor managed to build a railway and weapon industry with the goblins in 3 years, like they did the industrial revolution speedrun, Blackhand was like fuck the forge, we are going full assembly line

It's still Orctober right?

Discussing and arguing on certain tactical matters, Rexxar and Garrosh get an exclusive and special service from some ass-licking orcs.

Got one more in me to close up Orctober, hope you all enjoyed it!

And if you operate on the idea that everyone in-universe now in hindsight thinks Garrosh is a fascist and hates him, you are writting an incredibly naive story. Both Garrosh snd Sylvanas would need to have a good amount of supporters to have achieved the power had. It doesn't come out of nowhere.

Warcraft Orcs are still kinda 50/50 TBH

Garrosh was quite happy to murder everyone without any demonic incentives
November 1, 2025 at 1:41 AM
Things I would change about the Garrosh Arcantina Quest:

- It takes place on Outland.
- No longer in the Earthhand.
- Garrosh was buried by Thrall there.
- Gorehowl is MIA (on Pandaria still).
- Reduce it to just Warsong and Spirits ranting on Garrosh, less defilement maybe
October 30, 2025 at 4:54 PM
if the Horde is bad then why do I want Thrall, Baine, Vol'jin and Garrosh inside me at the same time.
November 1, 2025 at 12:29 AM
The thing for me is that it's narratively unnecessary, it's the narrative equivallent if Blizzard asking "How do you do fellow kids?" and concluding the new internet trend is people wanting to desecrate graves of fascists. Which is true and good, but difference is Garrosh is a fictional character
Every day more people hate the piss on Garrosh's grave quest 😌
October 31, 2025 at 9:12 AM
Warcraft knew this, which is why when Arthas loses any logical support for his actions, he turns to enslaving a dominating his subjects into undeath. Garrosh and Sylvanas ruled through fear, but to get to that point they needed a good amount of supporters or neutral folks.
October 31, 2025 at 9:12 AM
I, for one, have virtually zero problems with "spitting" and "defiling" whatever stand-in Garrosh has for his grave, considering he's essentially erased from existence.

He's a villain, and quite irredeemable one at that. He deserves every bit of hate he gets, ESPECIALLY in-universe.

Sue me.
