It does. Gerrymandering, rigging both need narrow margins to get away with it. And by not voting, we gave them that as the meme shows. The elections we've won this year since Trumps election were of far wider margins. Trump said himself after November elections. So don't forget to vote 2026 🤛💙🇺🇸🗳

Because of the Epstein Files, our attention is being diverted to:

-Taking away vaccines
-Taking away healthcare subsidies
- Trumpsplaining about our "wonderful economy"
- Trump's nonstop insults
- ICE
- Gerrymandering
- MAGA rejection of 2020 vote

I’m not certain that we’ve ever had a real democracy in America. If we have, It ended with the first attempt at gerrymandering or to impose rules that limited voting rights to citizens. By 2016, the U.S. was 16th of 112 nations, and it’s been going backwards ever since.

"I Voted" stickers rest on a ballot box at a polling place, Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston. Charles Krupa/AP hide caption toggle caption Charles Krupa/AP As we approach 2026, the NPR Politics Podcast is taking a look back at the year that was in different political areas. Today, we explore how President Trump pushed Republican-led states to redraw congressional maps with the hope of getting more Republican members of the House of Representatives, and how that led to an escalation of partisan gerrymandering throughout the country.

I also detest partisan gerrymandering but the Constitution gives the states the right to do just that. Texas may, indeed, have engaged in prohibited racial gerrymandering, but that's a matter of adjudicating facts. At this point, deference should be given to state legislatures.

And shows that the Republicans will stop at nothing to cheat instead of having free and fair elections. This election was about retaining judges whose opinions were truly impartial while Republicans were hoping to replace them with partisan judges who would allow gerrymandering to elect Republicans

Bribes = Campaign donations
Racial gerrymandering = Partisan gerrymandering

The way our government makes the illegal legal isn't fooling everyone.
Stay safe friends. They're putting people in concentration camps again.

We respectfully request that the corrupt squatter that invaded the Whitehouse at the request of Russian 🧌 trolls be removed and a free and fair election 🗳️ to follow. No gerrymandering or electoral college this time. That is my holiday wish.

Gerrymandering is irrelevant in presidential elections

ETA has presented no evidence related to Musk

Blue maga would be disappointed Harris voters who lie about elections to make themselves feel good

It’s truly sad that Wyoming has less than 600k residents, the least populated state, and yet has 2 senators. LA, pop 3m+, and NYC, 8m+, only have more representation in the House. Gerrymandering has worked in the R’s favor for too long. Here in red states, they make it impossible to be fair. 😡

It is amazing how isolated SC seems to be. Like, do the masses ever take a peak to the north or the south at all? NC and GA are hard shifting to blue (albeit slowed down by GOP gerrymandering and corrupt judges.) is it just that SC lacks an Atlanta or an RTP or Charlotte type of attraction?

If Dems win a strong Trifecta in 2028, a major reform would be proportional representation for all 50 state House Delagations. No more districts, no more gerrymandering. If Dems get 40% of vote in NC, they would get 40% of Congressional seats. This reform would pretty much put MAGA out of business.

I share your concern. I think they are doing everything they can to steal the election, like rigged voting machines, gerrymandering and voter purges.

The two positive signs are 1) If they could rig elections, they wouldn't have lost all the special elections. 2) They're lazy, incompetent morons.

Republicans have chosen a different option- gerrymandering and using right wing media to stay in power.

How many of their own family, friends, community members will Americans need to watch suffer before they get angry-enough to:
1) ACTUALLY VOTE?
2) Learn what Gerrymandering anf Citizens United has done to their flawed democracy?
3) educate, or, if necessary, admonish & cancel the MAGAts around them.
December 24, 2025 at 4:15 PM
MAGA is easily a firm 30%. And about 15% more just won’t for a Dem. And that gets you to fighting range of 45% and gerrymandering and voting suppression provides the remaining 6% you need.
December 24, 2025 at 4:15 PM
Well looks like who you vote for matters and gerrymandering bites you back!
December 24, 2025 at 4:14 PM
Elections should be determined by voters, not politicians who manipulate voting maps.

It's time for Congress to enact national solutions to put an end to gerrymandering.
How Can We Combat Gerrymandering?
We can combat gerrymandering using map-making tools, independent redistricting commissions and federal legislation.

Do we have any evidence that the posited effect here is actually real? Lower courts rule against Trump constantly (along with three Justices), Dems in Congress vote against him constantly – even this quote is from a judge who doesn't give in, much like the anti-gerrymandering Indiana senators.
We don’t spend enough time discussing how the entire MAGA movement is kept afloat by the constant threats of stochastic terrorism orchestrated by the president of the United States.

Congress, the courts, much of the media … all kept in line by the mob boss and his army of anonymous goons.
