It is incredible how certain simple things in #ggplot/#ggpubr are so complicated in #matplotlib. That was my daily rant.
rpkgs.datanovia.com/ggpubr/ and jbengler.github.io/tidyplots/ are front-ends for ggplot2.tidyverse.org. Others may have better ideas. (I have sort of forgotten what it's like to be an R/dataviz beginner; I teach biologists to use ggplot mac-theobio.github.io/DataViz/ but don't have standalone stuff)

Check out ggpubr. Making the killer stuff in base ggplot from all the fancy examples takes ages and you really can get lost in the task.
