I always eyeball the amounts, but browning some ground pork in a mix of gochujang*, miso, sake, mirin, and tamari gives a nice and quick meat dish to put on top of rice or in a bowl of udon. It's not zero prep, but it is pretty much zero *planning*.

Had to test out the texture cause I used dry milled rice flour vs wet milled. So I made a few tteokkochi with a tangy/spicy sauce! I didn’t have any brown sugar so I used white sugar and molasses, I didn’t have soy sauce so I used unagi sauce and I didn’t have gochujang so I used sriracha 😅😅

For the paste, I went a little bit off script and the flavor profile is incredible. 10 cloves garlic, 6 root ends cilantro, 2" pc ginger, 3 tbsp fish sauce, 1tbsp dark soy sauce, 1 heaped tbsp of honey, 1 lg Asian pear, 1/3 cup gochugaru & 1 heaped tbsp gochujang. Now I wait. 🍽️🍜🫙🥒🥬

I hadn't noticed the heating instructions, which means at least it won't be cold, and the sauce might not be as watery and the tteok like rubber, but the ingredients are still wrong. I note they call it a "gochujang style sauce". I'm guessing this is to cash in on Squid Game and K-Pop Demon Hunters

When we were kids we didn't have to know so many sauces. Now they serve chimichurri and gochujang at fast food places. Our children can't write cursive, but they can identify thousands of global condiments.

Fui ver se o five spices tinha canela e realmente tem, nunca provei mas ouvi falar hoje em um vídeo e pensei hmmmmm deve ser adjacente, bingo. Acho que a próxima marinada vai ser molho de ostra, gochujang,vinagre de maçã, sal, canela, anis estrelado, alho. 24 horas marinando, 5 horas a 200. É isso

Acho que dava pra botar vinagre de maçã, alho e bem mais gochujang. As batatas grudaram então tenho que resolver isso porque a casquinha embaixo que fica é deliciosa. Inclusive talvez seja uma boa cortar essas bandas na metade e marinar as batatas junto com a carne

Primeira vez que fiz essa receita de costela bovina(das vozes da minha cabeça), ficou gostoso mas faltou profundidade. So tinha sal, molho de ostra e gochujang na marinada, foram umas 9 horas marinando e 2 horas e meia no forno, 260 na primeira hora, 200 no resto.
