It's silly, I guess, but I still get excited every time one of our pineapple plants starts to make a fruit. Nature is amazing and beautiful!

A few small purple blooms extend out of some of the segments around the bottom of the forming fruit. It is surrounded by the long, stiff green leaves of the plant that rise upward around it. The red pointed ends of the individual segments extend out all around the fruit, looking bristly. A few small purple flowers are visible where they are poking out of lower segments. The fruit is surrounded by the long, stiff, narrow green leaves of the plant. They radiate out from a central point just below the fruit.
